Traktor Pro

For Traktor, select the collection.nml file, not the folder that contains it.

Import steps

1. Close Traktor after saving, so the collection file is consistent.
2. In briDJe, click Import or press Cmd+I / Ctrl+I.
3. Choose Traktor and click Browse. Select collection.nml.
4. Choose the scope. The default is all tracks and playlists. You can instead select playlists; their ancestor folders are included.
5. Click Preview import.
6. Review new, changed and absent tracks and playlists, plus local edits, conflicts and uncertain matches.
7. Accept and apply.

Import reads the NML into briDJe’s working library. The NML file is not modified.

What to check

After importing, load a few tracks (right-click → Load to Deck) and check them by ear:

• Beat grids and BPM: Beat grids
• Cues: Hot cues
• Loops: Loops

Imported smart playlist rules, if any, are static snapshots and are not executed.

If tracks are missing, check that the audio paths in the collection still point to where your files are.

On a free-tier library, imports lock once 15 tracks have been reached. A first batch can go beyond that. See License Activation.

Exporting to Traktor

Choose Traktor as the export target. Leave Target library blank to write a new NML, or supply an existing one to merge; you also need a separate output path. Preview first, and keep a copy of your real collection. Backups cover library and playlist files, not necessarily audio.

Known limits:

• Arbitrary RGB cue colors aren’t represented in Traktor.
• Loop lock flags aren’t transferred to Traktor.
• Unusual meters or tempos can trigger warnings or block export.
