briDJe User Manual

Installation

Before you download

The Download page is the source of truth for which installers and architectures are currently available, and for the requirements listed with each release. Check it and the release notes before installing. This manual does not list RAM, disk or OS minimums, so use the figures on the download page.

Download only from the official briDJe site.

Install

macOS: Open the downloaded DMG and drag the briDJe app to Applications, then launch it from there.

Windows: If the download page offers a Windows installer for your system, run it and follow the prompts.

If your operating system shows a security prompt on first launch, read it carefully. Confirm that the file came from the official download page and matches the current release notes before you continue. If you are not sure, stop and contact support@bridje.io instead of working around the warning.

First launch

A new library is empty. You have two ways to begin:

  1. Click Import, or press Cmd+I (macOS) / Ctrl+I (Windows), and choose a source. See Your First Sync.
  2. If you already have a key, open Settings → License → Activate. See License Activation.

Without a license, briDJe is limited by the free tier: exports are capped at 15 tracks, and imports lock once your library has reached 15 tracks. Details are in License Activation.

Before importing from a DJ application

  • Close the source DJ application after saving, so the library files you read are consistent.
  • Import reads your source into briDJe’s own working library. It does not change the source files.
  • Keep your music files where they are. briDJe and exported libraries refer to audio by path.
